Bouncing Back: A Chat with Praju Tuladhar

Praju Tuladhar’s story begins during his undergraduate years at Vassar College, where he faced a significant setback—failing a math class. This was a pivotal moment for Praju, who had always excelled academically. Then while pursuing his master’s degree in telecommunications engineering and management, he encountered imposter syndrome for the first time. Praju Tuladhar sits down with Rebecca Glatzer to share the pivotal moments that have made him the leader he is today. He even shares valuable work and newly minted attorneys, including striving for excellence, understanding the practicalities of legal work, and finding joy in one’s career.


Praju Tuladhar
is a legal advisor to the most innovative and influential people and companies in the world. He is a pragmatic problem solver who uses his experience and access to drive change towards a more equitable world for the next generation of professionals. Currently, Praju is a Vice President at Remitly, a Seattle based FinTech. Prior to that, he spent nearly a decade at Amazon, serving most recently as the Head of Legal for Amazon Prime. He began his legal career at Sidley Austin LLP in Chicago.

Praju graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2008. He received his undergraduate degree from Vassar College in 2000, majoring in Computer Science and Economics, and received his master’s degree from the University of Maryland - College Park in Telecommunications Engineering and Management in 2001.

Praju is a champion of diversity, equity and inclusion. He serves as the Treasurer of the National LGBTQ+ Bar Foundation and coaches diverse attorneys, executives and professionals looking to unlock their effectiveness and combat marginalization. In his spare time, he enjoys real estate investing, helping his husband manage his wellness based small businesses, advising BIPOC & LGBTQ+ led startups, and writing about personal finance and aging well.
