MLA Places Candice Vicuña as Vice President Legal with Grindr Inc.

Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world's leading legal search firm, has successfully placed Candice Vicuña as Vice President, Legal with Grindr Inc., the number one social network for the LGBTQ+ community. The search was led PJ Harari, a partner with MLA’s In-House Legal Recruiting group based in Los Angeles.  

As vice president of legal, Candice will report to the general counsel and head of global affairs. She will be an integral part of Grindr’s management team, overseeing other attorneys and professional staff. She will collaborate with other executives and departments on legal matters and lead global litigation, regulatory compliance, investigations, and product counseling.

Commenting on the appointment, PJ Harari said:  “Candice brings top law firm foundational training in litigation coupled with experience in rapidly growing technology start-ups advising on product counseling, regulatory, privacy, AI and other areas which will be instrumental in helping Grindr in its mission to build out robust digital gayborhood (providing recommendations, information, resources, and a sense of connection in travel, health, and other areas).”

Candice is an established legal leader with a strong cumulative record in the technology sector. Most recently she served as assistant general counsel, product, commercialization, and privacy at Cruise. Previously she was legal director, regulatory with Lyft, Inc. She began her legal career with Covington & Burling LLP in San Francisco.

Candice earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her A.B., magna cum laude, from Harvard College.
