MLA Places Sandra Hall Mulrain as Reliance Worldwide Corporation's First Global General Counsel

Hanover, MD (October 16, 2019) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, today announced the placement of Sandra Hall Mulrain as general counsel at Reliance Worldwide Corporation in Atlanta. The search was led by Bob Graff, partner, Melba Hughes, partner, and Jonathan Wylie, managing director, with MLA’s In-House Counsel Practice Group in Atlanta.

Reliance Worldwide Corporation® (RWC) is a $1.2bn public company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and is a global provider of water control systems and plumbing solutions for residential, commercial and industrial applications. RWC’s global operations are headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, with a smaller corporate office based in Melbourne, Australia.

As general counsel and a member of the senior executive leadership team, Sandra will manage RWC’s internal legal function, as well as outside counsel, on contracts, M&A, compliance, product liability, intellectual property, employment and litigation issues. She will also provide the firm’s senior leaders with effective advice on both strategic and operational matters and will be a key partner in the creation and execution of RWC’s strategy.

Sandra is a seasoned corporate generalist who brings nearly 20 years of diverse in-house legal experiences in the nation’s largest Fortune 100 corporations and privately held companies. She most recently served as vice president, associate general counsel and assistant corporate secretary for Southwire Company LLC, where she served as a key member of the senior leadership team providing strategic legal guidance on mergers and acquisitions, complex commercial transactions, ethics and compliance, corporate governance and products liability matters for both its U.S. and international business units.

Previous to Southwire, Sandra served as senior division counsel, with increasing levels of responsibility, for various manufacturing and consumer products and services companies in the retail, building products and telecommunications industries, advising clients on commercial transactions, marketing/advertising law, anti-trust, litigation and general corporate matters.

Sandra earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law and her B.A. from Drew University.
