As a former litigator, I am keenly aware of both the factors that make associates want to move and also how hard it can be to find the time to effectuate that pivot. I provide truly consultative career advice having sat in your seat.

Kate Reder Sheikh is a Managing Director in our Associate Practice Group. She covers San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Her focus is on providing a concierge level of service to associates and clients alike. Leveraging her background as a litigator in San Francisco, Kate has unparalleled access to roles and firms in the Northern California market.

Kate is an avid traveler—she and her husband have been to 27 countries together since 2011. A San Francisco native, Kate spent three years as an ex-pat in Singapore and London before returning to the Bay Area in 2017.

Prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Kate was the managing director of a legal recruitment business in London, placing candidates in the UK, the U.S. and the Middle East. Before moving into recruitment, Kate practiced law with several boutique firms in San Francisco.
