MLA places Rohit Kumar as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Ola Electric

London, UK (July 11, 2024) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world's leading legal search firm, has announced the placement of Rohit Kumar as senior vice president and general counsel at Ola Electric, the leading vertically integrated mobility group.  The search was conducted by Naveen Tuli, managing partner with MLA’s In-House Counsel Group based in Delhi.

Based in Ola’s Bengaluru office, Rohit will be the CEO’s key legal advisor and oversee the legal function for its three verticals: EV; ride hailing business/consumer and generative AI.

Prior to joining Ola, Rohit was the group general counsel at UPL, a global leader in sustainable agriculture solutions. He has over 21 years of experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and legal advisory, both in-house and in private practice. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Symbiosis International University and a Leadership in Corporate Counsel certificate from Harvard Law School.
Before going in-house, he was with Herbert Smith Freehills in Australia and J. Sagar Associates in India.
