MLA Places Tracy Chen as Regional Counsel APAC with Hormel Foods

Hanover, MD (June 28th, 2022) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, announced the placement of Tracy Chen as regional counsel APAC at Hormel Foods Corporation, the global food company. The search was led by Jack McDouall, managing director with Allegis-BN, MLA’s affiliate in Beijing.

Based in Shanghai, Tracy will be the first lawyer for Hormel Foods based in Asia Pacific and the key legal leader in the region. She will provide legal advice and support to business leaders in China and APAC on a broad range of commercial matters and manage outside counsel.

Tracy has an exceptional track record in the retail and consumer goods industry, most recently serving as legal and compliance counsel, Greater China and a member of the leadership team with Jacobs Douwe Egberts Trading CN Ltd. Prior to this, she was legal counsel with Heineken (China) Management Services Co., Ltd and Danone Asia-Pacific Management Co, Ltd and legal business partner with LEGO Group. Tracy began her legal career in private practice with Bonnard Lawson International Law Firm in Shanghai and Zhejiang Zeda Law Firm in Hangzhou.
