Annie Jennings Joins MLA Interim Legal Talent to Further Business Development in New York

Hanover, MD (May 4, 2017) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world's leading legal search firm, announced that Annie Jennings has joined the firm as a managing director in the firm's Interim Legal Talent, based in the New York office. Interim Legal Talent is designed to assist corporate legal departments and law firms in managing the complex and often unanticipated demands of legal workloads without adding permanent resources. With a strong focus on client service, collaboration and business development, Annie works closely with law firms and corporate legal departments to provide well-credentialed, seconded attorneys for interim or project-based scenarios and non-attorney legal professionals for both interim and permanent openings.

"Annie's two decades of experience as a legal search professional, together with her diligence, collaborative style and dedication to client relationships, mean she is a tremendous asset to our team at Major, Lindsey & Africa," said Matthew Weaver, executive director for the Interim Legal Talent – east region.

Prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Annie founded Artisan Executive Search to handle both complex attorney placements and routine legal staffing needs.  Before this, Annie spent 18 years at the Kelly Law Registry, where she was responsible for the firm's client development and client service in New York and New England. She worked with both law firms and corporate law departments to spearhead searches for individual attorney and paralegal candidates, as well as large-scale legal team placements.

During her career, Annie has been involved in managing numerous legal staffing projects, including a 300-lawyer insurance settlement engagement, a 40-lawyer trade compliance litigation project, a 20-lawyer intellectual property litigation matter, and a 10-lawyer derivative documentation project.

"I listen closely when clients outline their business challenges, and derive great satisfaction from collaborating to solve exacting legal hiring needs,” said Annie. “It is also rewarding to be able to provide a fellow legal professional with a great opportunity."

Annie began her legal career as a corporate associate at Shearman & Sterling in New York. She earned her J.D. from Boston University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
