What attracted you to Major, Lindsey & Africa?
The people absolutely! When interviewing with the team, I was really drawn to them all. I knew I would really enjoy working with them and grabbing a drink with them as well! Plus, their knowledge on legal search made it clear I was meeting with the best of the best and I wanted to be a part of it.
What is the best part of your job?
Getting to help candidates land jobs with companies of their dreams – nothing is better than helping candidates get in with a firm/company they’ve been hoping to get experience with.
What is the most surprising part of being a recruiter?
The limitless amount of scenarios you deal with since you’re working with people. When I’ve thought I’ve seen it all as far as situations that come up with interviews, offers, etc., something new happens that surprises me. It is never a dull moment when recruiting!
How would you describe your career in 5 words or less?
The best job for me!
Describe one of your successes thus far at Major, Lindsey & Africa.
Building strong relationships with my MLA family and many of my candidates who I’ve worked with many times over the years.
What advice would you give to someone considering becoming a recruiter?
I would say to make sure you really feel you’re ready to dive into this career because there are a lot of ups and downs for the first part of your career, and you need to be able to ride those highs and lows out to see the success at the end. If you can do that, you will be happy in your career and you will see the success come!
If you weren’t a lawyer or a recruiter, what career would you have had?
Dream/rock star job would be a professional chef.
What is on your bucket list?
Take my girls to Paris one day. It is such a dream to show my little girls the city I adore!
