What attracted you to Major, Lindsey & Africa?

Seeing people with law degrees who were doing something else non-traditional and more fun/ social.

What is the best part of your job?

Hearing how I helped a candidate or client solve a need and making some aspect of their life much easier.

What is the most surprising part of being a recruiter?

The most surprising part of being a recruiter is that a candidate and a client might be an exact match but because we deal with people, there are other factors, like spouses, geography, and family matters that might mess up an offer being accepted.

How would you describe your career in 5 words or less?

Helping clients find great interim talent

Describe one of your successes thus far at Major, Lindsey & Africa.

I helped an international bank with a LIBOR Transition project, which turned into an opportunity for us to work on an additional 10–15 roles with that bank.

What advice would you give to someone considering becoming a recruiter?

Know that it takes time and patience, but if you love working with people, you will love this job.

If you weren’t a lawyer or a recruiter, what career would you have had?

Owner of a novelty store in Palm Springs, CA, selling Golden Girls merchandise.
