What attracted you to Major, Lindsey & Africa? 

I was fortunate enough to have a prior supervisor who moved to MLA and I had heard nothing but wonderful things about the company and the culture. When the opportunity to join the team came about I jumped on it! 

What is the best part of your job? 

It’s hard to pick! The clients and candidates I have had the opportunity to work with have been great resources for me both personally and professionally. I also have an incredible team which makes the job less stressful. 

What is the most surprising part of being a recruiter? 

How many similarities you end up having with your clients and candidates. I have found out several times that I grew up near a client or that a candidate of mine has a mutual friend. It really helps when you’re building relationships. 

How would you describe your career in 5 words or less? 

Continuously evolving

Describe one of your successes thus far at Major, Lindsey & Africa.

My first calendar year with MLA just so happened to be during the height of the pandemic. With some long days and determination, I received the “Rookie of the Year” award during our first virtual annual meeting. 

What advice would you give to someone considering becoming a recruiter?

Be patient. Recruiting is a rollercoaster of emotions; everything happens for a reason. 

If you weren’t a lawyer or a recruiter, what career would you have had?

High school history teacher—I love revolutionary and civil war history. 

What is on your bucket list?

Travel to every Disney property across the globe.
