The Client

Northwest AmLaw 200 Firm

The Challenge

The labor and employment group (a team of three partners and one associate) of our law firm client was preparing for a trial while also faced with significant new client work. They needed an experienced litigation attorney who could help with the work overflow and trial preparation, but they did not have the budget for a full-time, permanent hire.

The Solution

Having worked with Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Law Firm Practices in the past, our law firm client came to MLA Interim Legal Talent to see if we could find a litigator who was experience with labor & employment matters and could start working amid the December holiday season. Our recruiters quickly identified several candidates who had relevant experience and would be able to start immediately for as long as the law firm needed.

The chosen candidate had an existing private practice that was winding down a large project and was looking for projects that would utilize their unique expertise while still allowing time to support existing clients.  The candidate was able to start working with our client within three weeks from the start of the search.

The Results

Our candidate’s ability to hit the ground running enabled the team to seamlessly continue their regular workload as well as confidently take on more client work. Our law firm client continues to rely on our candidate as as-needed support and they have turned to MLA Interim Legal Talent to find additional legal talent to provide similar support in other offices.
