MLA Places Christine Hu as Group General Counsel at Vitasoy

Hanover, MD (June 15, 2020) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, announced the placement of Christine Hu as group general counsel at Vitasoy, a long standing Hong Kong-headquartered beverage company founded in 1940 with a growing international presence and a focus on sustainability.  The search was led by Olivia Seet and Pooja Mahbubani with MLA’s In-House Counsel group in Asia Pacific.

As group general counsel, Christine will partner with senior leaders to continue to drive international growth and to build a best-in-class legal capability.  As a key member of a diverse leadership team, she will lead Vitasoy’s legal team on key initiatives and the further development of legal and compliance policies. 

Christine joins from a leading British multinational where she served as head of legal for Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China markets.  Here she successfully advised on commercial and corporate matters across multiple entities in the region.  Earlier, Christine was regional director of compliance with Venetian Macau Limited.  She began her legal career as an associate attorney at a law firm in the US.

Christine is a qualified solicitor in both Hong Kong and PRC, in addition to successfully completing her J.D. Law in the United States.
