Keith C. Wetmore, Managing Director in our San Francisco office, represents partners and groups in placements into top law firms across the country. He uses his deep knowledge of the legal market and his law firm management experience to guide partners and firms in making the right moves.

Keith served as chair and chief executive partner of Morrison & Foerster from 2000–2012, serving four three-year terms, the longest tenure of any chair in the modern era. As such, he took the lead in setting policy and providing strategic direction to the 1,000-lawyer global law firm. During his tenure, the firm more than doubled its revenue and tripled its net income without increasing attorney headcount. He was personally engaged in virtually every lateral hire at the firm. He also led the annual process of evaluation and compensation of more than 300 partners.

Before becoming chair, Keith led Morrison & Foerster’s Finance and Infrastructure practice and served as managing partner of the firm’s San Francisco office.

Keith was named to Lawdragon's "100 Leading Legal Consultants and Strategists" in both 2018 and 2019.
