Kirk Coleman is a Director for In-House Counsel Recruiting. Based in Washington, D.C., he identifies general counsel, senior-level attorneys and compliance professionals for a broad range of global, national and regional companies as well as institutions of higher education and non-profits.

In his spare time, Kirk enjoys traveling, planning social gatherings with friends, reading (especially space opera, science fictions and dystopian novels), and walking his red poodle, Draco.

Kirk began his legal career with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, starting as a summer associate and then joining as an associate within the Energy and Infrastructure Projects practice group. He then moved over to Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. joining their Project Development and Finance practice. In both roles, he drafted M&A agreements, PPA, EPC and other project finance agreements, security agreements, corporate documents, corporate approvals and ancillary documents, managed complex closing procedures and served as a liaison amongst legal specialists, outside counsel, and clients.

Prior to practicing law, Kirk was a Teach for America Corps Member and taught middle school Spanish in the greater Washington, D.C., region.
