MLA Places Marlon F. Starr as Chief Legal Officer at RS&H

Hanover, MD (June 22, 2022) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, today announced the placement of Marlon F. Starr as Chief Legal Officer at RS&H. The search was conducted by Sheri Michaels, partner, and Casey Feldman, managing director, both with MLA’s In-House Counsel Recruiting group.

Marlon will be responsible for overseeing all legal activities of the company and will serve as a key business partner and member of the executive team. He will lead and manage RS&H's corporate governance, complex commercial and government contracts, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance and litigation matters.

Marlon joins RS&H after spending nearly a decade with a PE-backed digital media company focused on the multi-family housing industry, RentPath, LLC, where he most recently served as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. Prior to going in-house, he was a partner with Troutman Sanders, LLP and Smith, Gambrell & Russell, beginning his career as an associate and later making partner. Marlon earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law and his B.A. from Tulane University.
