Major, Lindsey & Africa Names Three Recruiters to its Partnership

Hanover, MD (July 25, 2018) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, today announced the promotion of three new partners within the firm: Heather Fine, who is based in Chicago; Jennifer D. Henderson, who is based in Southern California; and Robert L. Zinn, who is based in Boston.

Heather Fine specializes in placing attorneys in corporate legal departments and advises clients, as well as candidates, on recruitment and the job market at all levels. She handles in-house searches ranging from corporate counsel positions to general counsel roles in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, higher education, healthcare, consumer products, telecommunications, retail, technology, pharmaceuticals, professional services and financial services. Over the last several years, Heather has handled a large range of searches, including at the general counsel level, for public and private companies of all sizes (including numerous Fortune 500 companies). Her extensive recruiting experience and market knowledge allow her to excel at matching clients with top talent. After receiving her J.D., Heather practiced law in Washington, D.C. for seven years before joining MLA.

Jennifer Henderson specializes in helping associates and partners make lateral moves into law firms.  She has counseled, coached, recruited and placed top talent within the legal and business sectors for more than 10 years. Jennifer is regularly called upon by lawyers at all levels for advice on their career paths and opportunities, and her clients praise her deep market knowledge and assistance with difficult searches. After graduating from University of Minnesota School of Law, Jennifer practiced law in Southern California for seven years, and so brings a wealth of experience to benefit both candidates and clients.

Robert Zinn leads MLA’s Partner Practice Group in Boston. Though he has worked with attorneys at all levels, his primary focus for the last 15 years has been providing professional representation for individual partners and groups. Rob has an impressive track record of successful partner placements at many top-tier regional, national and international law firms in a variety of practice areas, including corporate, intellectual property, litigation, real estate, tax, bankruptcy, trusts and estates, and white collar litigation. He has also successfully placed attorneys leaving government service to move into law firm partnerships. Much of Rob's success is based on his in-depth knowledge of the legal marketplace as well as on the individual attention he pays to each candidate. Educating each candidate on market trends, firm cultures and personalities as well as developing business plans and preparing for interviews are all responsibilities Rob incorporates into determining the best fit to advance an individual’s career. Rob earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont.
