Hanover, MD (August 7, 2019) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, today announced the placement of Daniel Hemmer as general counsel at Bridge Development Partners, LLC in Chicago. The search was led by Michael Sachs, partner and Casey Gordon, director, both of MLA’s In-House Counsel Practice in Chicago.
Bridge Development Partners is a privately-owned firm that focuses on the acquisition and development of Class A industrial real estate in the supply constrained core industrial markets of Chicago, South Florida, Northern New Jersey, Southern California and Seattle. In this new role, Daniel will serve as the chief legal adviser to this growing industrial real estate development company. As a member of Bridge’s management team, he will provide business-oriented and practical legal counsel regarding Bridge’s activities and manage a nationwide network of outside counsel.
“This was a highly competitive search, and the reputation of Bridge Development was extremely positive within the pool of top-flight candidates who threw their hat in the ring. Dan was the ideal candidate for the general counsel role; not only is he ethical, agile and strategic, but he also has an executive presence and enthusiasm that will fit in very well with Bridge’s entrepreneurial culture,” said Michael Sachs.
“With his many years of general counsel experience and broad industrial real estate exposure and expertise, we think Dan will be an enormous asset for Bridge,” said Casey Gordon.
Prior to joining Bridge Development Partners, Daniel served as general counsel and secretary for First Industrial Realty Trust, a leading developer, owner, and operator of industrial real estate across 22 major markets in North America.
