MLA Places Michael C. Pacella as Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at Dentsply Sirona

Hanover, MD (August 8^th, 2023) — Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA), the world’s leading legal search firm, today announced the placement of Michael C. Pacella as vice president and chief compliance officer at Dentsply Sirona (NASDAQ: XRAY), the world’s largest manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies. The search was led by Deborah Ben-Canaan, partner and global practice leader, and Craig Donaldson, managing director, both with the In-House Counsel Recruiting group in Washington, D.C., and Charlotte, respectively.

As vice president and chief compliance officer, Michael will be a critical member of the legal and compliance leadership team. He will lead a global team responsible for maintaining an effective compliance program, overseeing all compliance-related initiatives and providing compliance advice to commercial and functional teams within the company.

Most recently, Michael served as vice president, global chief ethics and compliance officer at Covetrus, the multinational animal health company, where he led the global ESG program and designed and implemented a new corporate compliance program focused on anti-bribery/corruption, antitrust, data privacy and trade compliance. Prior to this, he was vice president global anti-corruption & investigations counsel and vice president global compliance operations with Zimmer Biomet, the medical device company. This role followed two previous secondments with Zimmer in Singapore while in private practice with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP and Norton Rose Fulbright. Michael began his legal career with White & Case LLP in Washington, D.C.

He earned his J.D. from William and Mary School of Law and his B.A. from Georgetown University. He is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and Virginia.
